Generations of Greatness

Cody Hartman celebrates a big anniversary today! Recently promoted to Service Center manager, Cody is among the few who can boast being a second generation at VIOC. Her mother Barbara worked for one of the first Valvoline Instant Oil Change Centers in the early 1990’s, located then at the Peter’s Creek and Hershberger Road in Roanoke, VA. Barbara was a Customer Service Representative, the same position Cody started just 4 years ago. Cody remembers her mother rushing home to get her so she could meet Valvoline Race Car driver #6 Mark Martin, who was visiting the service center. Sitting in his car, taking pictures and getting autographs, no one could have known the amazing road Cody would take.

Her favorite VIOC vision and value is “Be great at what we do,” because it encompasses everything and her life mantra of “Aspire to know more, be better, and grow.” Her daughter, Carine, is a promising 3rd generation. Cody, we so appreciate all the hard work and dedication you have put in, and look forward to future growth together. Congratulations!
